Ian and Gillian

Manchu Picchu - 2006Ian Ross and Gillian MacDonald have spent the past seven years together surviving masters degrees, building successful PR careers with the Ontario government and volunteering in their community.

But for 88 days during 2008, they are leaving everything behind to be Slackers on Sarafi.

They will arrive in Cape Town, South Africa and finish in Nairobi, Kenya. In between, they will travel independently by bus and boat to visit deserts, jungles, small villages, big cities, mountains and oceans.

This map provides a basic idea of where they are headed.

This is the third adventure for them in recent years. They have previously travelled to Peru, Bolivia and Honduras.

You can reach them by leaving a post on this blog or emailing them at ieross@rogers.com.
